WoodArt LLC built this Traditional style kitchen in this 1820’s Morgantown, PA farmhouse renovation. This was a fairly small space with some challenging dimensions caused by deep sill windows below countertop height and low ceilings. We maximized the customer’s storage space without sacrificing style in this custom kitchen made from Maple cabinetry. The finish is Dover White Paint with Warm Brown Glaze. The doors and drawers are beaded inset and raised panel. The hardware style is flat black. The countertops were supplied by WoodArt LLC and are made from Granite. A comparable kitchen would cost about $15,000 – $20,000.
Some interesting features to note: this customer wanted to retain their old microwave but place it in a space above the wall oven that is properly sized for a future built-in microwave. We used special hardware to mask the microwave with a lift and roll garage-style door. We built hardwood drawer organizers and useful spice rack and baking sheet rack near the gas cooktop.
